Into the 70's today. @ night Herons still in North Pond, no Blue Herons, 5 egrets - much more than last year, the Avocets have finally started nesting. Lonesome George Pelican is still hanging out in Sienna Lake, with a pair of Mallards this morning.
Goose family - all 7 still present and looking more like geese.
An Avocet pair has nested here for the last 4 years. They normally have 2 or 3 chicks.
Nice yellow feet!
There are 3 of these nests on trees overhanging the water at Sienna Lake. Very like the Bullock's Oreole nests at Walden ponds, but haven't seen the Oreoles around here.
